One day at a time

My podiatrist gave me clearance on Monday after having foot surgery on both feet.  I have begun a challenge with my BFF Christie to start walking again.  Well, my mind is willing, but my body is saying “whoa Fran.”  I was very active before surgery and was very anxious to get back to my life but I know I have to listen to my body.  Physical fitness is a life-long commitment to yourself. 

Sometimes things happen that are beyond our control and we may encounter things that will affect our physical ability.  So, I realize that I don’t have to start out walking five miles a day like I used to, but I can begin slowly incorporating physical fitness back into my life.  We have learn to take one day at a time and do our best without killing ourselves.
