Life & Style with Francyne –Jeremy Thomas, Detroit NABJ Black Male Media Project

Turn on any television and you’ll see Black men negatively portrayed in disproportionate numbers. NABJ chapters around the country are hosting events on the same day intended to help change the narrative around the lives and images of black men in the news media and society. This year’s theme is #PostiveReflections to #inspireblackmen. The Detroit chapter will focus on black men and mental health. I sat down with Jeremy Thomas to talk about this upcoming event and what one can expect this Saturday. Opening up dialogue about issues Black men are dealing with is needful in today’s landscape.
