I was excited to sit down and speak with Rochelle Morton, Independent Damsel Director, from Damsels in Defense. She talked extensively about an assortment of non-lethal products (not firearms) that enable women and children to protect themselves against the prevalence of violence, sexual assault, rape and theft.
She also proposed a bill, HB 4020, that will enable citizens in Michigan to have stun guns. We are currently one of the few states that prohibits them. It is currently sitting on the desk of the Judiciary Committee Chair and she’s urging everyone to contact Rep. Graham Filler to demand a hearing to legalize the use of the stun gun for personal protection. His contact info is below:
